Popular is a responsive WordPress theme designed and developed by 9 Design Street. You can customise the header with your own photos, illustrations and graphics and also change the background, header and link colours to complement your images.
The theme doesn’t come with any support but is easy to intsall and customise.
Step 1: Install Theme
Dashboard > Appearance > Themes > Upload Tab
Upload your theme to the theme section of WordPress
Click activate once uploaded
Step 2: Custom Menus
Dashboard > Appearance > Menus
Enter in any name for your new menu (these will go in the sidebar widgets) and click the ‘Create Menu’ button to the right
On the left, create a custom link, then click ‘Add to Menu’ button, the link is now added to the menu
Repeat step 2 for as many links as you want
Click the ‘Save Menu’ button to the right
Create a second menu, simply click the + tab to the right of the current theme name at the top of the page
Repeat steps 1-4 to create another menu
Add your main menu (which will appear larger) to Theme Locations > Primary
Add your secondary menu (which will appear smaller) to Theme Locations > Secondary
Step 3: Permalinks
Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks
Change ‘Default’ to ‘Post name’ for prettier URLs.
